Golfund is an in-person point-of-sale app for charity golf events. Organizers and volunteers use it on iPhone to accept donations and entry fees during tournaments. This page answers the most common questions from end users — if you need additional help, reach out using the contact details below.
Common questions
How do I accept payments?
Open a category from the Dashboard, enter the amount, and hand the iPhone to the donor to tap their contactless card or phone on the back of the device. Tap to Pay on iPhone works on iPhone XS or newer running iOS 16.7 or later — no external card reader is required.
Why is my receipt not arriving?
Receipts are emailed automatically by Stripe to the email you entered at checkout. Double-check the spam folder and confirm the address was typed correctly. If it's still missing, the event organizer can resend the receipt from the transaction detail screen in Golfund.
How do I add staff to my event?
In Settings, open the event and use Event Staff to invite someone by email. They'll automatically join the event the next time they sign in to Golfund with that email — no manual approval needed.
My card won't tap — what now?
Make sure the card is held flat against the top of the iPhone and held there for a moment. If a tap still fails, tap the “Card won't tap?” link on the payment screen to enter the card number manually as a fallback.
